Adrienne Yvonne Brown

Adrienne Yvonne Brown, born to the late Claude Brown, Sr. and Addrienne Brown Thomas, departed this life on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Sentara CarePlex in Hampton.

Affectionately called “Brown” by her family and “Ms. Brown” by her mother, she lived in Newport News as a child before permanently relocating to Hampton with her family in the mid-1960s.  She worked for AAFES for 32 years before retiring in 2022.  Adrienne was an avid bingo player with a one-of-a-kind sense of humor.  

Adrienne was preceded in death by her son, Damian “Froot Loop” Brown, and brother, Michael Brown.

To cherish her memory, she leaves behind her son Kevin Brown; grandchildren Kiara, Kamian and Kevin Brown, Jr.; brother Kenneth Brown (Christi); sisters Donetta Harris (Rodney), Sherry Walker, Cynthia Bivins (Wilbur), Karen Parker and Sandra Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
