Amina Grant was born on October 4, 1976 to Donald and Sandra Grant. Amina came into this world fighting but left October 8, 2025 with her mom and faithful fiancé at her side peacefully.
Amina had a smile that drew many people into her life and heart. Always willing to lend a helping hand whenever she saw a need. Her greatest concern and joy was being sure her mom was 100% okay. She communicated with her mom several times a day. Amina self-appointed herself as the mom and caretaker :) Ms. Grant started her career at the army and air force exchange service October 20, 1997, as a Material Handler | Janitorial area and then moved to working in the FDF order select until February 1998, then Fashion processing area from August to September of 1998. Then she was promoted to Material Hander II October 31,1998 order Select on FDF side, in 1999 she was in order select on the FDF side until March of 2001 where she stayed until August 2008 move to order select on the general side of the warehouse. In August 2008 she moved to the storage area where she was temporarily promoted to leader in March 2018. Then permanently promoted to storage leader in July of 2018 where she remained. Ms. Grant was one of The Exchange brightest stars, her hard work and dedication cannot be replaced. Amina received the following awards during her career. 5 Service Awards,1 Worldwide Outstanding Associate with a Disability (6 November 2019), 2 Certificates of Appreciation, 2 Thanks for Serving Awards, 4 Thanks for Contributing Awards, 6 Making It Better Awards, 2 Caring and Sharing Awards, 3 Excellence Awards, 1 Proficiency Award, 13 On the Spot Awards.
Amina was predeceased by her loving father Donald, only brother James, little sister Twala; maternal grandparents, Clarabelle and Douglas Armstead; paternal grandparents, Louise and William Newsome; Pamela Sumpter, Jesse Lee, Ruby Richardson and an uncle, Ron Davis.
Amina is survived by her loving caring mom Sandra; faithful fiancé, George Pierce; nieces, Imani, Najae, Bayce; nephew, James, their mom Mircarlla; great grand nephew Koa Christopher James: aunts and uncles, Judy (Cliff) Owens, Deborah (Charles) Robinson, Douglas (Lori) Armstead, Selma (Nathaniel) Braxton, Helen Davis and a host of loving, fun caring cousins.
