Anthony Bailey Obituary

Anthony Bailey, "Man", 60, passed away on January 25, 2026, in Norfolk, Virginia. Born on July 15, 1965, in Newport News, Virginia, he lived a life rooted in faith, family, and joyful service to others.

Anthony was a father to his three daughters, whom he shared with his ex-wife Kim Farmer Bailey, Ashley Bailey-Eldest, Khrystal Morris-Middle (husband-Geron Morris), and Alexis Hamilton-youngest (husband-Rico Hamilton). He found immense pride and joy in his role as a grandfather to seven beloved grandchildren: Kayliona Morris, Kaliyah Morris, Ka'Mya Morris, Ayden Bailey, Alyssa Bailey, Ashton Bailey, and Avery Bailey. His love for his family was unwavering and evident in every aspect of his life.

He was the cherished brother of Joseph E Everette Jr., Talita Everette, Craig Lamont Everette, Angela Drewey-Everette (husband-Otis Drewey) and Desiree Harris. His extended family included his niece Taylor Drewey and nephews Joshua Drewry, Tevin Harris & Tyrell Harris, and a host of other family and friends. Anthony was preceded in death by his loving parents, Jerline Everette and Joseph Everette Sr., whose guidance and values helped shape the man he became.

Professionally, Anthony worked as a contractor with Howmet Aerospace. His dedication to his work reflected the same commitment he brought to all areas of his life—steady, reliable, and full of purpose.

A man of deep faith and spiritual conviction, Anthony served as a minister and lived each day with a God-centered heart. He was known for being cheerful and encouraging—a source of light to those around him. Whether offering words of comfort or sharing a laugh during a quiet moment, he had an innate ability to uplift others.

Anthony’s passions were simple yet meaningful. He found solace in reading the Bible and joy in cheering on the San Francisco 49ers. He also enjoyed watching “Deal or No Deal,” often sharing laughs with loved ones during episodes. A talented drummer, he used music as another way to express his spirit and connect with others.

His legacy is one of faithfulness—to God, to family, and to living each day with positivity. Those who knew him will remember his warm smile, encouraging words, and unwavering belief in the power of love and grace.

May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him and continue to inspire lives rooted in kindness and faith
