Anthony Skull Sr. Obituary

Anthony W. Skull Sr., 73, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025, in Hampton, Virginia. Born on March 20, 1952, in Waycross, Georgia, Anthony lived a life marked by service, strength, and deep devotion to his family and community. A man of faith, Anthony was a member of Liberty Live Church where he found spiritual strength and community.

A proud veteran of both the United States Army and Navy, Anthony served his country with honor, dedication, and courage. His military career was a testament to his discipline and sense of duty—qualities that continued to define him long after his time in uniform. Whether in service or civilian life, Anthony carried himself with integrity and purpose.

Anthony was a man who found solace and joy in the natural world. An avid outdoorsman, he cherished time spent fishing along quiet shores, relaxing by the beach, or tending to his garden. These simple pleasures brought him peace and reflected his appreciation for life’s quiet moments.

He was known for his kind heart and welcoming spirit. With an easy smile and a warm demeanor, Anthony never met a stranger. His presence had a way of making others feel at ease—whether through conversation or simply sharing space with those around him.

Above all else, Anthony was devoted to his family. He leaves behind a legacy of love and guidance that will be remembered by those closest to him. He is lovingly remembered by his sons: Anthony W. Skull (Alycia) of Mobile, Alabama; Patrick B. Skull (Yolanda) of El Paso, Texas; and Johann D. Skull of Chesapeake, Virginia and his sister, Margaret Adamson (Clarence).

His memory lives on through his grandchildren: Anthony Michael Skull, William Matthew Skull, Sherica Snowden, Genesis Amira Skull, Abriyah Simone Skull, Dominique Nicole Wilson, Michelle Elizabeth Ann Skull, Christian Perr'e Demario Skull, Michael Shea Henry Kent, and Kevin Montrell Armstrong; as well as great-grandchildren Shaniya Snowden, Shaelyn Snowden, Shamari Snowden and a host of nieces, nephews, loved ones, and friends.

Anthony was preceded in death by his wife, Ramona Kay Skull.

Though he will be deeply missed by all who knew him, Anthony’s spirit endures—in the laughter of his grandchildren, the stories shared among loved ones, and the values he instilled in those fortunate enough to walk beside him in life.

May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and serve as a lasting reminder of a life well lived. A visitation will be held on November 1, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 02:00 PM.  A celebration of life will begin at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at Smith Brothers Funeral Home at 545 E.
