Cecilia Marie (Poochie) Jones entered into external rest Wednesday, October 10th, 2023, surrounded by family and friends.
She was born August 12, 1960, in Manhattan, New York to the lateBarbara Gordon and William Davis.
Poochie had a heart of gold and a temper of a bull, she will let you have it in a minute. She loved her family and also shared special individual relationships with everyone, especially the ones who came to her for advice. She was a devoted wife and loving mother and no matter what her family did, it was never wrong in her eyes. She has spread her love so wide to other people in need that felt like she was their mother, friend and comforter. So, in the words of Poochie, you guys better dry those tears and do not cry, just take a shot of Paul for me.
Poochie was proceeded in death by her mother, Barbara Lula Mae Gordon and stepfather Lonnie Gordon, her father William Davis, her twin brother William Bolden (Billy), her sister Michele (Mickey) Chappell, and her brother-in-law Wayne Brown, her nephews Amir Bolden and Joel Peterson.
She leaves to cherish her husband of thirty plus years, Kevin Jones of Hampton, VA, her three boys, LeAndrew Nelson, Larry L. Bolden, (Carlisa Ransom), and LaQuavis T. Bolden, all of Hampton, VA. Her special granddaughter/daughter Alayah Bolden, of Hampton, VA. Her one sister Melinda Bolden-Brown of Fort Lauderdale, FL, her brothers, George Washington Bolden, of Hampton, VA, Micheal Bolden, of Hampton, VA, Chendale Bolden, (Marie), of North Carolina, Dereck Bolden, of New York City, and one Aunt Gertrude Gill of Bronx, New York.
Poochie had two special friends in her life, Tina Peterson and Paula Carter.
She leaves nine grandchildren to cherish her memories, Serenity Nelson, Tayevion George, MaKenzii Freeman, Carleigh Bolden, Chance Bolden, Aidan Bolden, Jayden Bolden, Kamryn Bolden and a whole bunch of nieces, nephews, cousins and added family to cherish her love for them. Poochie has adopted many children throughout years that is still involved in our lives that we know was true and dear to her heart.
