On Sunday, June 30, 2024, our heavenly father, called his precious angel Cynthia Louise Scott Ware to her eternal home.
Cynthia, also known as “Cindy,” to her family, was born on February 10, 1961 in Amherst, Massachusetts to Gertrude and Calvin Scott. She graduated from Springfield Classical High School (c/o 79) where she was a member of the drill team. In February of 1981, Cynthia joined the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Bragg in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She was honorably discharged after serving four years.
On December 5, 1981 she married Michael Ware, from their union, they had two daughters, Cherise D. Ware and Cherrae D. Ware. After discharging from the military, Cynthia went on to continue her education and received her bachelor’s degree in early childhood education. She worked as a substitute and a learning center teacher. She loved educating young children and would always have a song or a lesson with twist to make learning exciting.
In 1991, Cynthia and Michael relocated to Newport News, VA. Under the leadership of Bishop Samuel L. Green Jr., Cynthia joined St. John’s COGIC and received the precious gift of the holy spirit. Cynthia was a faithful and devoted member of her church. In 2010, she relocated with her daughter, Cherrae, to Auburndale, FL. She joined Born Again Ministries and became a faithful and devoted member under the leadership of Bishop Theodore Hall Jr.
Cynthia was predeceased by her mother, Gertrude Beville Scott and her father, Calvin Scott. She leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters, Cherise Callahan (Maryland) and Cherrae Ware (Florida). Four sisters, Avonda Jones (New York), Maureen Callender (Barbados), Cheryl Scott (Massachusetts), and Celeste Basier (Maryland). Additionally, she leaves behind, four grandchildren, Chakira Hitchman, Bria Callahan, Alyssa Callahan, and Maliyah Ware, a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and beloved friends.
Cynthia’s friendly and joyful presence and spirit will be forever cherished and remembered. She had a heart for the Lord and a heart for people.
