Darren Tracey Slade

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Darren Tracey Slade, who gained his wings on November 26, 2023.  He was born on February 23, 1966 in Newport News, VA.

Tracey was raised in Newport News, VA but later relocated to Hampton, VA where he was educated by the Hampton Public School System and he worked in the construction field.

He loved watching football and his favorite team was the Commanders (Washington Red Skins).  He enjoyed dancing, skating and playing chess.  He mostly loved spending time with his family.

He leaves to cherish his most precious memories; his father, Alphonso L. Slade; mother, Starnette Sinclair; a very loving step-mother, Linda Gorham; fiancé, Glenda, who cared for and loved him dearly; four brothers, Tony, Keith, Michael and Rossi; five sisters, Trina, Evelyn, Sonja, Tracey, and Anjetone; children, Tracey Hill, Tiffany Hill and Jasmine Clark; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

As we mourn the loss of Tracey, let us also celebrate the joy he brought into our lives.  He was a down to earth person and had a heart of gold!
