Daunte Deangelo Lee Cooper was born on November 27, 1983 at Portsmouth Naval Hospital in Portsmouth VA to Ms. Resonia Allen (deceased) and Mr. Michael Cooper.
He obtained his GED and entered into the United States Army in 2002 where he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Iraq Campaign Medal, Army Service Ribbon and the Aviation Badge. After spending 4 years in the U.S. Army as an Aircraft Powertrain Repairer; he studied and gained a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) which afforded him the opportunity to travel to multiple states and cities in the U.S. as a commercial truck driver even until his earthly departure.
In Daunte’s 39 years on earth, he left an everlasting impact on any and every one he met. Daunte did not meet many strangers and was very generous as well as intelligent. Daunte was very bright as a child that he carried into adulthood. He fell in love with the sport of fishing whenever he had free time, he loved music where he could sing and dance with his “cousins” and if the opportunity arose, he would even throw together a meal for all to enjoy. His other love was for his family; young and old.
Daunte is survived by his father, Michael Cooper of Hampton, VA; his only sister, Jasmine (Yusuf) Meriwether of Hampton, VA; three brothers, Orlando (Cynthia) Allen, of North Carolina; David Cooper and Anthony Cooper. His paternal grandfather, Mr. Victor Cooper of Hampton, VA and a host of close cousins, family and friends. Daunte was predeceased by his mother, Ms. Resonia Allen; his maternal grandparents, Emmerson, Sr and Nancy Allen and his paternal grandmother, Bernice Cooper.
