David Eugene Watts

David Eugene Watts, a lifelong resident of Hampton, Virginia, was born on July 12, 1940, to the late George Watts and Margaret Wilkins Watts Taylor. He peacefully passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026, in Hampton, Virginia.

David was deeply rooted in the Phoebus community and found great joy in fishing, golf, and, most of all, spending time with his family. His warmth, dedication, and love for those around him will be fondly remembered.

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife of 60 years, Lottie G. Watts of Hampton, Virginia; two sons, David N. Watts and Lamont Watts; one daughter, Ebony Watts; and one grandson, Marquis J. Watts, all of Hampton, Virginia.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Antioch Baptist Church, Hampton, Virginia, officiated by Pastor Kirk T. Houston, Jr. The family will assemble at the church at 1:30 p.m.
