Edward Mitchell Gore

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Edward Mitchell Gore St., age 79, after a life filled with dedication and love.

Edward, a respected Shipyard worker for 57 years, found joy in fishing and family. Born to Eddie James Gore and Annie Thigpen Gore in Shallotte, North Carolina, he was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend.

Edward is survived by his children: Edward and Adriane Gore, De'Vita Graves Gore, Mujib El Shabazz, Nelson Holden Sr., Kerry Holden, and Michelle Rainey, along with numerous cherished grandchildren. With graduation from Union High School in 1962, Edward's journey was marked by resilience and unwavering commitment to family.

Edward leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and devotion that will be forever cherished. May he rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love and gratitude of those whose lives he touched.

We will sorely miss him.
