Gloria B. Johnson

Gloria Bernice Johnson was born March 9, 1942 in Camden, New Jersey.  She went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 15, 2023. She is preceded in death by her parents Albert and Lucille Warren. And 2 children, Kim Jones and Trenton Sawyer.

She worked as a civil service employee at Langley Air Force Base and Norfolk Naval Station, retiring after 20 plus years.  She lovingly served the Third Baptist Church Community as a Deaconess and President of the Friendship Circle.

She leaves to cherish her memory a loving husband George Johnson of Yorktown, Virginia. One Sister Patricia Moseley (John) of Chesapeake, Va. Six loving daughters: Vanette (Tony) Davenport of DeSoto, TX, Janette (Spencer) Joyner of Virginia Beach, Gia Woodard of Virginia Beach, Felicia (Terez) Dean of Hampton, Virginia, Cynthia Bolling of Hampton, Virginia and Patricia (Kenny) Outlaw of Yorktown, Virginia. Two loving sons: Herman (Saundra) Sawyer of Norfolk, Virginia and Blair (Sandra) Sawyer of Handover, Maryland.  A special Niece Dracaena (Hancey) Jean- Baptiste and 1 great niece Jade Simone. And 1 special cousin George (Essie) Hawes of North Carolina. And a host of family and friends.

She adored her family, especially her legacy 19 Grandchildren, 26 great Grandkids, 1 Great Great Grandson.
