Hallie Willis, the daughter of the late Dan and Jennie Jones, was born June 28, 1931 in Yanceyville, North Carolina.

She entered into eternal rest on Monday, February 10, 2025 at Sentara Careplex Hospital.

Her early education was in the Caswell County Public Schools. Upon graduation, Hallie relocated to Hampton, Virginia.  She worked as a server for several restaurants in  Hampton and for years she also worked at Armory Crab Factory, and retired from Maida Development Company three times because they kept asking her to return back to work.

In the early eighties, Hallie joined Bethel Christian Church in Hampton, Virginia where she was a loyal and faithful  servant.  Hallie served on  the usher board, missionary circle and sang on the senior choir.

Hallie was affectionately called Grandma Willis and Ma Willis by so many people that  loved and adored her.

Hallie was a breast cancer survivor.  Nothing could ever get in the way of her enjoying long rides in the car, going out to eat with friends, window shopping with her daughter Diane, and spending time with family.

Hallie was the youngest of eighteen children.  She was the  Matriarch to all of her family, nieces, and nephews, oldest living member of the church and the oldest living resident out at Langley Village where she resided.  Hallie was highly respected and loved by so many.

Hallie was preceded in death by her husband the late Freeman Willis Sr, two sons Freeman Willis Jr. and Marco Willis, parents Dan and Jennie Jones, great grandson Focions Jr, and all seventeen of her older siblings.
