Jacqueline Mae Griffin- Allmond

Jacqueline Mae Griffin-Allmond was called home to be with The Lord on January 9, 2026 at the age of 75 years. Jacqueline entered into her eternal rest with peace surrounded by God's presence and her family. Jacqueline or some may call “Jackie” was born to her father Ernest Jones and her mother Hilda Mae Jones on October 24, 1950 in Hampton, Virginia. Jackie grew up in the church involved in many church activities and bible study groups along with her many brothers and sisters. Jackie was a graduate of Hampton High School and went to pursue Nursing in her early years. Jackie then went on to work for the City of Hampton and Fort Eustis. Later down the road she worked at the College of William & Mary for the Multicultural Affairs, which then became the Center for Student Diversity. Jackie retired in 2019 after 25+ years at the college.

Jackie’s love for people, especially children, was actively displayed in her lifestyle. Jackie was a foster parent and fostered many children over the years until she physically was no longer able to. Her love for children reflected in her life. Jackie gave continuously to the underprivileged, whether that be clothing, food or shelter. Jackie also donated and discipled over prison ministry. She even had a love for animals, her late dog Trixie who stuck by her side. Jackie was truly an excellent steward over any and everything God assigned to her.

God blessed Jackie with loving children and a huge family she considered one of her best earthly blessings. She was an outstanding servant of the Lord, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Jackie aligned her life by the fruits of the spirit. Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-control. Jacqueline demonstrated her love for Christ through her generosity, willingness to help others, being bold for the gospel and her courage. Jackie’s devoted faith was evident in her hospitality, daily prayers/walk with God, her commitment to the church, her tunnel vision for God’s will to be done and how she held onto God’s unchanging hands through both joy and hardship. She trusted deeply in God’s promises and continually leaned on His word throughout her life.

While we grieve the passing of our beautiful Jacqueline, we do so with expectation, already knowing that Jackie is now in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, joining with loved ones who went before her and experiencing the absolute fullness of God’s promise. Well done, good and faithful servant. Jackie has now received the reward of everlasting life!

Jacqueline was preceded in death by her father Ernest, her mother Hilda and her brothers Karl, Ernest and Gerald. Jacqueline is survived by her Children, Samuel, III(Imani), Jonathan, Felicia (Dallas) and Samantha; Grandchildren, Mike, Kaylee (Kyle), Brandon, Bella, Samar, Jurnee and Levi; Bonus children including Tierra Artis, Sam Anderson, Victoria Godwin and grandchildren Bobbi Godwin and Mi’jzion Mutz; Her siblings, Barbara (Roland), Ernestine (Peter), Iris, Shawn (Avis), Patricia (Vinny) and Mark; and her blessed friend Marsha Kirby. “Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!” Psalms 34:
