Jeremy Michael Hutchins

On Saturday July 15, 2023, God in His infinite wisdom, called home our beloved brother, nephew and friend.

Jeremy was born on April 24, 1990 in Jacksonville, FL to Jonathan Mynard Hutchins and Teresa Lenora Hutchins. He grew up in Hampton, VA where he attended Phoebus High School, graduating in 2009. Jeremy will be fondly remembered as a standout high school athlete in both football and track, earning admiration for his skill and sportsmanship. He attended Army Basic Combat Training in the summer of 2008 and after graduating high school he continued his military service until 2010 serving as a Motor Transport Operator (88M).

Jeremy lived and worked in Hampton Roads, VA most of his life. In 2016 he moved to Philadelphia, PA, where he worked with Whosoever Gospel Mission, a Christian nonprofit organization whose purpose is to provide assistance to homeless and needy men, women and children in Philadelphia. He returned to Hampton Roads in 2017, and worked for Target Distribution Center in Suffolk, VA until his passing.

Jeremy was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. He loved to read and more than anything loved to study his bible. Jeremy was a devout believer whose unwavering faith guided his life. He was a die-hard Jacksonville Jaguars fan and also enjoyed watching boxing. Jeremy loved to spend time with family and friends, and he leaves behind a legacy of cherished relationships as his warm and compassionate nature endeared him to everyone he met.

Jeremy is survived by his sisters Jonique Kingston (Jeremy) GA, Jessica Maddox, SC; nieces Miquela and Carmen; nephews Niko and Royce; Aunts and Uncles, Willa Scott (Eric), Kenneth Williams, Leroy Hutchins Jr. (Brenda), FL, Willis Hughes, FL, Reginald Demery (Alfreda), CA, Francina Cossey, AL, Jacquelin Demery Harris, FL, Carolyn Demery Thomas, FL, and Lifelong best friend and brother Teeko Christian, MD as well as a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Jonathan M. Hutchins and Teresa L. Hutchins.
 

Jeremy will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Rest well in Heaven!
