Jessie Mae Golden Cypress was born in Hampton, Virginia, on June 8, 1951, to Floyd Jones and Bessie Mae Golden. She departed this earthly journey on March 20, 2022.
Jessie received her elementary and secondary education from Hampton City Schools. She received a Business Administration degree from Kee Business College. Jessie was a devoted Christian. As a servant, she continued fulfilling her life by assisting the community wherever she traveled. Jessie departed Virginia in 1996 and has lived in Texas and settled in South Carolina. She last served for over 15 years as a Secretary for the City of Columbia Housing Authority.
Jessie dedicated her life to her family and loved ones. She was preceded in death by her mother, Bessie Mae Golden, Father, Floyd Jones, four brothers; George Golden, James Golden, Floyd Golden, and Ernest Golden; four sisters, Lucille Davis, Julia Bruce, Margaret Everett, and Dorothy Golden. Jessie leaves to cherish her memories; four children: Ronnie Cook, Jr. (Monica) of Raeford, NC, Jennifer Cook-Story of Columbia, SC, Mark Cook of Newport News, VA, and Michael Cook of Columbia, SC, a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, loving friends, and family.
