Joseph Lamont Bunch

Joseph Lamont Bunch, son of the late Mary Viola Bunch and William Scott, was born on October 19, 1959. He departed this earthly home on December 28, 2022, at Hampton Veteran Hospital in Hampton, VA to be present with the Lord.

Joseph was born and raised in Raleigh, NC. He graduated from Sanderson High School and joined the United States Army in 1978 as he served our country.

He was a devoted father and brother who loved his family in entirety.  He had a passion for chess and loved his dogs. He never met a stranger and would help anyone. His family in the Spinal Cord Unit “SCU” gave him the nickname “Bunchie”; as we all loved to see his smiling face.

Joe was preceded in death by his son Joseph Lamont Bunch, Jr. of Goldsboro, NC.

He Leaves to Cherish his Memories: two sisters, Helen E. Bunch and Jeannie M. Bunch of Raleigh, NC; daughter, Lateaya Bunch of Goldsboro, NC; three nieces, Shauntina Goodman, Chanel Bunch, and Tatiana Bunch; two nephews, William Bunch and Quentin Bunch all of Raleigh, NC.; two grandchildren and one great-granddaughter of Goldsboro, NC. He leaves a host of friends and family.

He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. Gone but never forgotten.
