Kevin T. Scott

Kevin T. Scott, was the tenth child of the late Kenneth and Minnie Scott, born February 15, 1961, in Hampton, Virginia.

He departed this life on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, after a lengthy illness at the age of 61.

He lived within the Phoebus Community throughout his life and was educated in the Hampton City School System.

He graduated from Phoebus High School in 1980. Kevin was employed as a welder with Newport News Shipbuilding and later at Howmet Aerospace.

Kevin had a love for classic cars, he enjoyed restoring the cars he owned until he became ill. His greatest work being on his 1960 Chevrolet Impala and his 1967 Oldsmobile Cutlass. He had a special sense of humor, always making someone laugh with his many jokes and quick comebacks.

You could always find him watching his favorite television shows "Sanford & Son" and "In the Heat of the Night" while enjoying a Diet Orange Sunkist and snacking on Lifesaver Wint-O-Green mints. He enjoyed listening to the oldies and sitting on the front porch watching his grandchildren play.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his three daughters:

Kaelynn, Kiyah, Keith Jr., Kevin, Darien, Taionna and Chyna; five brothers: Kenneth Jr., Vernon, Randy (Portia), Eric (Willa) and Steven (Berna); three sisters: Elizabeth, Ellamae and T°Nora; along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his parents: Kenneth and Minnie Scott; brothers: Donald and Roland; and sister, Sandra.

Kevin will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
