Kimberly Monique Blount gently slipped into eternal rest on Sunday, November 30, 2025, without warning.
Affectionately known as “Kim” by her loved ones and “Nurse Kim” by her coworkers, she was a kind, sweet, and loving spirit whose presence brought warmth to all who knew her. Kim had a passion for nurturing her plants, enjoyed watching TV shows with her family, and held a special fondness for elephants.
Kim dedicated many years of service to the Newport News Behavioral Center, where she was deeply respected and cherished by her colleagues.
She was preceded in death by her father, Eddie Lee Mastin, and her brothers Frederick Wells and Marvin Wells.
Left to treasure her memory are her two children, Dionte Blount and Giselle Freeman; her mother, Carmencita Bass; her brothers, Austin Bridges and James Fitzpatrick; her fiancé, Gregory Freeman; and a host of cousins, relatives, and friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.
