Marion Patricia “Patty” Williams

Marion Patricia “Patty” Williams, age 57, a beloved member of the Phoebus community, sadly left our world early on Monday, June 3, 2024.

Patty was born on September 16th, 1966, to Mr. and Mrs. Marcellus Williams Sr, in Hampton, Virginia.  She attended Phoebus High School (c/o ’83) where she was an exceptional cheerleader and student. Patty was full of life and resilience; she left a mark on the lives of all who knew her. She enjoyed cooking for family gatherings, going to church, and spending time with friends & loved ones.

She gave birth to her only child Troy Williams in December of 1994. While he excelled academically and as a nationally recognized athlete she supported him courtside at Phoebus High School, Oak Hill Academy, Indiana University, and throughout his NBA career.

Predeceased by her father, Marcellus Williams Sr. and brother, Michael K. Williams, Patty’s memory will be kept alive by her, Mother Patricia Williams; son Troy Williams; grandchildren, Aviah and Trenton Williams; Siblings, Marcellus “Boo” Williams Jr. (Saunya) and Terri R. Williams; Nieces and Nephew, Brooke Britt (James), Maya Flournoy, and Eric Flournoy Jr; Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, and so many other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Monday, June 10th, 2024, 12PM at Zion Baptist Church, 125 W County St, Hampton, VA 23663. Interment will follow at Hampton Memorial Gardens, 155 Butler Farm Rd, Hampton, VA 23666. Funeral arrangement entrusted to Smith Brothers Funeral Home, 545 E Mercury Blvd, Hampton, VA 23663.
