On June 22, 2022, God called Marquis Corbin into eternal rest affectionately known by others as “Quis”. He was born to Olethia Corbin and Algeria Dunmore in Hampton, VA on April 16, 1976. He was educated in the Hampton School System and graduated from Kecoughtan High School.
Marquis accepted Christ at an early age and attended Lincoln Park Church (now Canaan Baptist Church), Hampton, VA. Hefurther accompanied his mother to Empowered Believers Christian Center in Hampton, Virginia for a period of time. He always had a love for Christ, even when he encountered different obstacles throughout his journey.
Marquis was known for his quiet personality. Even though he had friends, he stayed to himself most of the time. He was kind and respectful to the people he came in contact with. In the early part of his adulthood, he worked with young men, at the Lincoln Park Community Center. He was very athletic and loved basketball. Marquis had a great passion for rap music, being comfortable with a variety of styles, delivery, flow and clarity. He had many setbacks in life, and left this world too soon, but his spirit lives on in all of us.
Marquis was preceded in death by his father, Algeria Dunmore, his grandmother, Charlotte Corbin and his grandfather Cleveland Corbin.
Marquis leaves to cherish his memories: daughter, KennaiahCorbin (grandson, Kayden); mother, Olethia Corbin; sister, Marquitta Corbin; brother, Marqus Corbin; Aunts: Diane Boone, (Kevin Boone); Teressa Gore, Melessa Perry (Paul Perry); and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
