Michael Reginald Sargent

Michael Reginald Sargent (aka Jigs) peacefully entered into entered into eternal rest on Thursday June 12th, 2025. He was born on August 10th, 1960, in Hampton, VA to the late Edgar Sr. and Betty Sargent. 

Michael was educated in the Hampton City School System and was a graduate of Phoebus High School. He was previously employed at Benthall's Supermarket in Phoebus, Amtrak, and Newport News Shipyard until he became medically disabled.  Michael was an avid lover of all sports and especially loved the Commanders (formerly known as the Washington Redskins Football team). He also was a big lover of dogs. 

Michael was a friendly cheerful soul who never met a stranger. In addition to his parents Edgar Sr. and Betty Sargent, Michael is proceeded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents George and Marian Jones, and Harry and Wilma Davis, also one brother Edgar Sargent Jr. He is survived by his 7 siblings, Lawrence (Rita) Miles, Corrine (Jerry) Jamison, Clara Foster, Marian Henderson, Betty Sargent, Barbara (Timothy) Todd, and Ronald Sargent, 2 uncles Don and Reginald Jones and a host of nephews and nieces, great nephews and great nieces, great nephews and great niece's cousins and numerous friends. Michael will truly be missed by all who loved him.
