Odirias Perry

 It is with great sadness that the Perry family announces the transitioning of their family's sweetheart, Odirias Perry. Odirias fought a good fight of faith. Odirias loved God and put her trust in him totally!

Odirias transitioned on June, 20, 2025. Odirias was born March 4, 1968 in Durham NC to Jaine Blackwell who predeceased her in death.

Odirias received her education in Hampton VA and years later met her 'tall drink of water' (affectionately called by her), Lionel Perry. Lionel and Odirias were joined in holy matrimony on September 26, 1999 in Hampton VA.

Odirias leaves behind her husband, Lionel; two daughters, Christina and Erika and one grandson, Onyx born June 20, 2025, day after her transition; one sister, Jackie Savage (other siblings deceased); Aunt Luella of Newport News VA; mother in law and mentor, Claudette Hillman-Perry of Hampton GA; brother in law, Eric (Chanda) of Hampton GA; sister in law, Kimberly Perry of Warner Robins, GA; Michelle Johnson (Dwayne) of McDonough GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles in law.

Odirias worked for BJ's a number of years before having to leave because of illness. She was a faithful employee. Odirias was kind, caring, compassionate and ALWAYS willing to serve and support others in any way needed often not asking nor receiving anything in return...if you did not get to experience her deepest and heart-filled love, you have truly missed out! Odirias was a precious jewel and blessing to our immediate family.

Odirias' Home-going services will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Smith Brothers Funeral Home; 545 E Mercury Blvd, Hampton, VA 23663
