Peter A. Wyatt, Sr. (Lil’ Peter) a loving father, brother and friend, peacefully transitioned from Earth to Glory on December 20, 2023. He was born on October 4, 1939 to Peter Wyatt and Hattie Stephenson Wyatt.
Out of 17 children, Peter was the oldest sibling, and was raised by his grandmother, Lillian Horsey in Hampton. He was dedicated and hardworking, but enjoyed the quietness of life and occasionally fishing. He could be counted on to help and support family, and was proud to be able to come to the rescue. His last place of employment was with Hampton University from which he retired.
To know Peter was to love him. He was a straight-shooting, truth telling, no nonsense son of a gun. If you didn’t want to know the truth…you didn’t want to ask him. Peter’s frequent trips to the store gave him opportunities to meet new and old friends. He loved watching westerns, news, and learning more about Jesus Christ from religious programs on television.
He was preceded in death by his son, Peter A. Wyatt, Jr., and leaves to cherish fond memories by his two daughters, Gloria Wyatt and Cassandra Wyatt; three grandchildren, LaQuita Wyatt, Dominique Wyatt, and Chantal Wyatt; ten great grandchildren; six siblings, Gloria Wyatt, Connie Koger, Linda Wyatt, Lillian (Cookie) Wyatt, Gail Wyatt, and Larry Wyatt; and a host of relatives and friends.
Rest in peace Dad, Brother and Friend.
