On October 18, 2024 Raymond Welion Saderlin went home to be with the Lord.
Raymond was the son of James E. Sanderlin Sr, and Estella Sanderlin (Both Deceased). Born February 1, 1949 in Princess Anne County, Virginia. He resided in Hampton, Virginia for 52 years. Raymond was a Decorated Vietnam Veteran in the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions. Raymond retired from Newport News Shipyard after 39 years. Raymond enjoyed his retirement by joining a Walking Group at West Hampton Community Center.
He was preceded in death by two children, Toni Sanderlin-Jones and Raymond Anthony Sanderlin.
Raymond leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 57 years Mary Sanderlin, a son Baron Sanderlin (Althea), granddaughters, Jasmine, Tanika and Oshara, grandsons, Timothy and Terrence, great grandchildren, Noah, Mega, Jy'air, Hannah, Nevaeh, Quataveus, Makayla, Eljoniah, Amir, Aaiyian, Zen, Zion, Kingston and Londynn. Sisters: Minister Carolyn Latham (Victor), Annette Lassiter (Grady), Brothers:
Winfred Sanderlin (Shirley), Charles Ridley, James Walker (Karen) and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
