Rev Dr.Browlee Hailstock Jr.

On Tuesday, April 26, 2022, Dr. Browlee Hailstock, Jr. surrounded by his loving family and Pastor, Rev. Joshua N. King, Sr., transitioned from this life to his eternal home. He was a native of Danville, Virginia, born on September 2, 1940, to the late Rev. Browlee Hailstock, Sr. and Mrs. Florence Hailstock.

His memories will be cherished by a devoted wife, Florence P. Hailstock; five daughters, Wanda Bey (Ronald), Zebbra Hickson (Keith), Debra Seay (Jeffrey), Wanda Hailstock-Hickson, Lanetta Hailstock-Williams; a son, Darrell Wactor; sisters, Beatrice Hailstock, Odessa Chandler; brother, Napoleon Hailstock, Sr. (Jean); sisters-in-law, Jannie Jones, Nannie Jones (Lewis), brother-in-law, Lawrence Perkins, and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A celebration of Dr. Hailstock’s life will be held Friday, May 13, 2022, at 11am at Zion Baptist Church, 125 West County Street, Hampton, VA 23663. Dr. Hailstock will lay in state on Thursday, May 12, 2022, from 2pm-6pm succeeded by a wake from 6pm-8pm at Zion Baptist Church.
