Robert EL Bey

Robert El-Bey, also known as Hurley Robert Miles and affectionately called "Man". , was born on January 23, 1968, to the late Willie Andrew Heckstall, Jr. and Patricia Ann Miles. On January 23, 2026, at the age of 58, Robert peacefully transitioned from this life.

Robert was known for his contagious smile, captivating stories, and infectious laughter that brought joy to all who knew him. He had a heart of gold and was unafraid to stand firm for what he believed in—no matter how others viewed his convictions. His life was a testament to courage, authenticity, and resilience.

As a young man, he gained recognition for his football skills at Hampton High School. Though small in stature, he played with a heart and intensity that made him larger than life on the field.

He leaves to cherish his memory:

-His significant other: Tiffany Jones

-Three daughters: Phillis Ann-Philan McLane, ChaNaye' Wilkins, and Yazmine Fosu

Although his time with them was brief, his acknowledgment and love for them were never in doubt.

-Three grandchildren

He is also survived by:

-Sisters: Venus (Darick) Fisher and Peggy Harris

-Brothers: Darcel (Andrea Heckstall, Willie III (Jennifer) Heckstall, and Durell (Stacie) Heckstall

-A host of beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will deeply miss him.
