Rodney “Keith” Joyner, was born April 9, 1958 (age 66), in Newport News, VA. He passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 29, 2024.
He was a native of Newport News Virginia and a graduate of Warwick High School. Rodney was also a veteran of the United States Army.
He will be remembered most for his ability to make us laugh and his mischievous grin. He loved cooking, gardening, dancing, listening to music, and fixing things. He loved his family most of all. He was an amazing and loving son, brother, father, uncle, grandad, nephew, and friend who is already missed.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Rose C. Joyner; five children, Shanika Henry (Jim), Jessica Joyner, Justin Frazier, Tiara Frazier, and Brenda Toliver; four grandchildren, Jaxson Keith Williams, Sean Thicklen, Jr., Ja’tai Morris, and Jamaal Davis; one sister, Rose Vaughan (Ernest); six brothers, Roland Joyner (Celestine), Renard Joyner, Robin Joyner (Barbara), Raven Joyner (Leandra), his twin - Roderick Joyner (Carla), and Ramon Joyner (Lucinda); an aunt, Mary E. Orie; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Henry Joyner, Sr, and brother, Richard Henry Joyner, Jr.
