Senior Airman Rodney Earl Troublefield was born September 25, 1965, in Irvington, New Jersey. He was the first child of the late Elmer and Sandra Troublefield. Rodney spent his early childhood education attending George Washington Elementary School and The New York Military Academy. He later moved with his family to Willingboro New Jersey where he graduated Willingboro High School in 1983. Rodney decided to join the U.S. Naval Reserve in March 1984 and later went on to join the U.S. Air Force in March 1989 and served his country honorably until he departed the service in March 1993. Rodney later earned an Associate’s degree in Communications from Burlington County Community college.
A gifted and talented artist, Rodney had a love for comics and the television industry and could often be found freehand drawing comic books onto paper. Rodney dabbled into acting, screenwriting, and comedy. Rodney was employed by Ruby Tuesday as a prep cook where he could continue to bring joy and laughter to all he encountered. Rodney was a whimsical and lovable gentle soul who was a shining light in any dark day. He will always be forever remembered as “the comedian of the bunch”.
Rodney was predeceased by his loving parents Elmer and Sandra Troublefield, his loving Great Uncle and Aunt Earl and Lillian Mitchell, Aunt Juanita T. Caldwell, Uncles Clarence L. Troublefield, William U. Troublefield, and George Troublefield, and nephew Gabriel Jefferies.
Rodney leaves to cherish his memory his siblings Duane W. Daniels and Legalman First Class U.S. Navy (Ret) Rorrie C. Jefferies (nee’ Troublefield) and her husband Chief Master-at-Arms Cortez L. Jefferies, U.S. Navy (Ret). He also leaves behind his nephew Culinary Specialist Second Class Brandon L. Troublefield, U.S. Navy, his nieces Dominique L. Daniels and future U.S. Naval Officer Erica J. Robinson. Rodney is also continued by his special friends Adrian J. Paul and Robert and Snyeka Carr.
