Ronnie entered this life on February 2, 1954 to Annie and Otha Brown in Ferriday, Louisiana. He departed this life on September 16, 2025. He departed this life on September 16, 2025 at his home in Hampton, Virginia.
Ronnie was born and raised in Ferriday, Louisiana where he attended school. He later relocated to Newport News as a young adult. He and his wife wed in February 1973 before welcoming their first born baby girl (Lisa).
He enlisted in the United States Army, where he served his country for four years. Thereafter, Ronnie held several professional jobs until he found his calling selling vehicles in the Hampton Roads areas. Everyone knows that Nissans were his passion for driving.
Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents, Annie and Otha Brown; four (4) brothers, Lonnie Armstead “Wolf”, John Dennis Brown, Charles Armstead, and Carey Brown.
Ronnie leaves to mourn his loving wife, best friend, and whole life partner Mary Armstead; three children, Lisa L. Jones (Walter), Ronnie Armstead Jr. (Kanisha), and Finesse Martin (Quincy); five (5) brothers, Donnie Armstead, Isiah Brown (Judy), Otha Brown (Carolyn) Michael Brown (Sonya) and Joseph Brown; three (3) sisters, Laura Boykins (Robert), Peggy Washington (Ronnie), and Doris Flemming (Donnell); thirteen (13) grandchildren, Bernaud Armstead, Berlyssia Garland (Shawn), Aaron Reed, Delanceia McCrory, Cortavious Jones, Martavious Jones, Kalani Daniels, Ronnie Armstead III, Liliyana Armstead, Ayonnis Armestead, Amiamor Martin, Amori Martin, and London Martin; seven (7) great-grandkids, Joshua Armstead, Aniya Garland, Aalyia Garland, Avaiya Garland, Ace Garland, Ayla Garland and Amora Martin.
Ronnie also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends in love and with extended memories.
Ronnie was loved by everyone and remembered for always saying, “Everyone is not your friend, but you can always be friendly”.
Ronnie will be dearly missed but always remembered by all who knew and adored him.
