Obituary

Samuel M. Scott Jr. peacefully entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 31, 2023. He was born November 6, 1968, in Newport News, Virginia to Samuel M Scott Sr. and the late Lucille R. Scott.

Samuel M. Scott Jr., better known as “Sammy”, was a graduate of Hampton High School and attended Thomas Nelson Community College (TNCC), where he was employed for a number of years. Sammy was a master with computers and had a love for music. He was the man to call if you had a question or problem with your computer. He would spend hours tinkering away while listening to his favorite tunes. Even on tough days with his health issues, Sammy was an inspiration to others to keep pushing.

His mother, Lucille R. Scott, preceded Sammy in death as well as aunts Annie Lee Blockett, Mary Ann Sturdivant, Evelyn Robinson and Ruth Hicks.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his father, Samuel M. Scott Sr., Uncle Thomas Scott, cousins and a host of friends and family.
