Obituary
Sharon Renee Dudley of Sterling, VA entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 17, 2025. Sharon is the beloved daughter of Mrs. Adele Dudley and the late Wiley “Gene” Dudley; devoted mother of Porsha Dudley; cherished sister of Ray (Dee), Shawn (Mona), Rhonda (Steve), and Sherri; aunt of Shawn, Jr., Rayshad, Anna, Valencia, Jonathan, and Princess; great-aunt to ten.
In addition to her immediate family, Sharon leaves to treasure her memory Jelly (her best friend), Blair (the best boss she ever had), Jadecca, and numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, colleagues, and Pickleballers. She is loved and will be missed.
A Full Life:
Sharon grew up in Hampton, VA and, though she moved to other places, Hampton was always home. A lifelong, award-winning athlete and coach, Sharon excelled in softball and basketball and later championed adaptive Pickleball for athletes with disabilities. She was a dedicated 49er’s, Coco Goff and VCU Rams Women’s Basketball fan whose passion inspired many. She loved her job with Kaiser Permanente as a safety professional, her annual trips to the beach with friends, color - every color under the sun, and family. And anyone that talked to her for more than 10 minutes knew that her main love was her daughter, Porsha. Sharon’s memory will live on through her family, friends, colleagues, and Pickleball community.
Gratitude and Blessings:
The Dudley family are eternally grateful to Bishop Bill Burrell, Mrs. Carolyn Cobb and other members of the Langley Air Force Base (LAFB) Chapel Gospel Service for helping us provide a blessed Homegoing Service for our loved one. In addition, we thank Smith Brothers Funeral Home for their support.
In Sharon’s memory, please consider a contribution to support her daughter, Porsha: Fundraiser by Estelle Saraka : Support Porsha in Her Time of Loss. At 24 years of age, she is navigating a difficult time emotionally and financially.
