Travore Davenport Obituary

Travore Antoine Davenport, son of Jamie Davenport Kerr and Antonio Cooper, was born on January 02, 1979. He departed this life on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at Sentara Careplex Hospital, in Hampton Virginia.

He was educated in the Newport News Public School System, and received his GED, was certified in Carpentry, as well as in the Culinary Arts.

Travore had a great work ethic. He worked for the family business started by his grandfather Major, and later went to work with his uncles. He worked at several local businesses such as Smithfield Packing, Interstate Warehousing, and Two Men and A Truck moving company. He also went into business with his best friend Shane "Deuce", creating a successful lawn care service.

He loved cooking and he also enjoyed going out to eat and having a good time. Some of his favorite foods were lasagna, salad, and seafood. He enjoyed watching movies, spending time with his family, traveling, and we all know he loved to shop and dressed impeccably. He liked different kinds of music, and sometimes you could catch him rapping, singing, or putting on a mini concert. Some of his other hobbies were reading, staying up to date on current events, shooting pool, and playing virtual reality games.

TD enjoyed watching football, and his favorite team was the San Francisco 49ers. He enjoyed action packed movies, and his favorite season was Autumn. TAD was very charismatic, always attracted people, very social, and a excellent listener. He spoke with assertiveness, had an incredible sense of humor, and always gave his undivided attention making you feel like you were the only person in the room.

Our beloved Travore is best remembered as a devoted son, father, father figure, and for having a generous and loving heart toward his nieces, nephews, siblings, and other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Grandmothers, Maggie M. Scott and Gloria L. Cooper; Grandfather, James A. Davenport; Uncle, Major Cooper III;  and Aunt, Vetta Jane Byrd.
