Walter Bernell Osborne, lovingly known as “RIP”, was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He departed this life on April 6, 2022, at the age of 72.
He was born to the late Mrs. Louise Terry (Wilson) and the late Ernest Bernell Cooper. After graduating from high school, “RIP” decided to serve his country and joined the Army.
After his military career, he returned to his hometown of Hampton, VA where he reunited and married his forever love, Drina.
“RIP” loved spending time with his family and was always the life of the party everywhere he went. There was never a dull moment and never a sad face in his presence. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan!
He was predeceased by his parents and one sister, Mrs. Carolyn Watson (wife of the late Rev. Joseph Watson).
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Drina (together for 38 years, married for 26 years); sisters, Mrs. Ernestine Griffin (wife of the late Kenneth C. Griffin, Sr.) and Mrs. Annette Gibbs (Jerry); son, Rock-mon Osborne; daughter, Tyessa White Copling; granddaughters, Azera White and Y’nique Copling; sister-in-law, Kayla Holmes (William); special niece, LaTanya J. Osborne and special nephew, Kenneth C. Griffin, Jr.; great nephews, Nicholas K. Osborne, Keijon P. Honore’, Christian Griffin; and a host of special cousins, relatives and friends.
Gone, but never forgotten. “RIP” will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
