Wilbert Abram Henry

Wilbert Abram Henry was born March 1, 1940, to the late Ulysses A. Henry and Julia Shelton in Ashland, Va. Wilbert transitioned to his heavenly home Saturday June 24, 2023 at the age of 83 in the presence of his loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Ulysses Henry and Ernest Henry and sister LaVerne Fox. Wilbert attended John M. Gandy High School, Ashland Va. He served honorably in the US Air Force, retiring in 1980.  He went on to work in Engineering and Design at Fort Eustis until retiring in 2012.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Rubye, daughters Kim Ross of Savannah, GA, Tanya Henry of Marietta, GA, sons Jerome Henry (Anne) of Mooresville, NC, Wilbert Henry, Jr (Valerie) of Dallas, GA and Daryl Henry of Irving, TX, (12) grandchildren and (9) great grandchildren, sisters Virginia Crockett of Mechanicsville, VA, Claudine Dabny of Richmond, VA, Judy Thompson (Aubrey) of Mechanicsville, VA, Gale Thomas of Montpelier, VA, Jewel Redford (Ernest) of Glen Allen, VA, Lilton Winston (LaVerne) of N. Chesterfield, VA, and a host of nieces and nephews.
