Willie Junior Crandell

Willie Junior Crandell was born on April 12, 1955 to the late Matthew and Ernestine Crandell.  On June 5, 2023, he transitioned and went home to live with God.

Willie was so loved by many and he was educated in Suffolk Public School System.  After completing high school he was employed by Newport News Shipbuilding and retired after 46 years of dedicated service.

He met and married the love of his life and this union was blessed with two children.  He truly loved his family as he was a family man indeed.  Willie loved cooking out, helping with meals in the kitchen, watching all his favorite TV shows, traveling and fishing.  His favorite football team was the one and only Dallas Cowboys.  I could hear him hollering with excitement, joy and fun when watching the game.

He is preceded in death by his parents and five brothers.

He leaves to cherish his most precious memory, his devoted  and loving wife of forty-nine years, Patricia Lavern Crandell; a devoted daughter, Shaketa Paulette Crandell; a devoted son, Marcus Antonio Crandell; one brother, Leroy Diggs and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  

Willie was a giant to his family, friends.  He may be gone from this world but his memory in our heart will never be forgotten.
