Willie Thomas Glover Jr.

Willie Thomas Glover, Jr passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at the age of 66 following a lengthy illness. He was born on September 18, 1957, the son of the late Willie Thomas Glover, Sr and Eliza Miles Glover and the 2ªd of five children. Willie was born and raised in Hampton, VA and attended Hampton City Schools. He was a 1975 graduate of Kecoughtan High School. He received a full five-year scholarship to the University of Tennessee where he graduated Summa Cum Laude earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked for IBM for 12 years before pursuing and earning a master's degree in computer engineering from North Carolina State University. Willie had a long and successful career as a Computer Hardware Design Engineer, specializing in ASIC Design and Signal Processing. He worked for IMB, NDSP, Enuclia, and Pixelworks during the span of his career.

Willie married and became the proud father of Jonathan Karl Wegrich Glover. After living and working in Oregon, his family relocated to Ashtabula, OH. Willie and Jonathan loved spending time together as they pursued their love of fishing, camping, gaming, and visiting national parks. Willie loved spending time with his family, growing his own vegetables, and had a passion for math and engineering.

Willie was preceded in death by his father, Willie T. Glover, Sr, and sister, Janice Faye Glover. Sadly, four days after his death, his sister, Tina Francine Glover died suddenly. Precious memories will be cherished by his son, Jonathan K. L. Glover, Ashtabula, OH; mother, Eliza Miles Glover, Hampton, VA; sisters, Cynthia Glover Duncan and Wanda Lee Glover, Hampton, VA; brothers, Ronald L. Glover and Jeffrey Glover, Newport News, VA; nieces Carissa L. Duncan, Hampton, VA, Tia Glover, Baltimore, MD, and Karon Glover, Newport News, VA; nephews Lamont Glove, Jerell Glover, and Malcolm Glover, Newport News, VA; great-niece Cayla Duncan, Hampton, VA; uncle James Miles, Sr (Pauline), Hampton, VA; aunt Miriam Miles, Hampton, VA and a host of cousins and friends.
